Our Story
It's a way of life
Sitting Bull Farms is more than just a farm—it’s a place where land, community, and education come together to cultivate a future rooted in sustainability and self-sufficiency. Located on 75 acres north of Elgin, Oregon, our space is a mixed landscape of timber, grazing and agricultural land dedicated to regenerative agriculture, ethical animal husbandry, timber management and hands-on learning experiences for all ages.
Founded with a vision of stewardship and connection, we focus on growing nutrient-dense food and producing sustainable products, while restoring the land through responsible, ethical practices. From raising heritage-breed livestock to nurturing heirloom gardens and heritage grains, every aspect of our farm is designed to honor our roots and nature’s balance while providing a model for sustainable living.
Beyond the timber, fields and pastures, Sitting Bull Farms serves as a community hub where people can gather, learn, and grow. Through immersive experiences, workshops, and educational programs, we inspire future farmers, nature lovers, and lifelong learners to deepen their understanding of food, agriculture and the natural world while focusing on stewardship.
At Sitting Bull Farms, we believe that what we do is more than just sustaining our family — it’s a way of life that fosters resilience, respect for the earth, and a commitment to future generations. Whether you visit to learn, explore, or simply enjoy the beauty of the land, you become part of our mission to cultivate not only food and products, but a thriving, connected community.

Get a Taste of Farm Life

Get Your Hands Dirty (In a Good Way) and Eat Well!
Sitting Bull Farms is a labor of love, built by Lynique — a fourth-generation farmer, educator, and entrepreneur — alongside her two young sons, Bridger and Brick. With dirt on their hands and curiosity in their hearts, the boys are growing up immersed in farm life, learning firsthand what it means to care for the land, animals, and community.
More than just a farm, Sitting Bull Farms is a living classroom, where sustainable practices meet real-world experiences. From regenerative agriculture and ethical animal care to restoration projects, everything we do is guided by a deep respect for nature and a commitment to leaving the land better for future generations.
Here, children chase chickens through the pasture, families learn the art of growing their own food, and visitors experience the magic of a working farm. It’s a place where the next generation of farmers, conservationists, and dreamers are shaped—one season, one lesson, and one shared moment at a time.

Elgin, Oregon

At Sitting Bull Farms, we believe in more than just growing food and producing products — we’re cultivating a way of life rooted in sustainability, stewardship, self-sufficiency, and community. Our farm is a place where the land is nurtured, animals are respected, and people come together to learn, grow, and connect.
We embrace regenerative farming practices that restore soil health, improve water quality, and create thriving habitats for both wildlife and livestock. Every seed planted, every fence built, and every hand that tends the land is part of a greater mission — to honor nature’s balance while providing nourishing food and chemical free products for our community.
Beyond agriculture, we see our farm as a space for education, empowerment, and shared experiences. Whether it’s through hands-on learning for children, workshops for aspiring farmers, ranchers, and homesteaders, or simply gathering around a table for a homegrown meal, we strive to inspire a deeper connection between people, food, products and the land.
Sitting Bull Farms is more than a farm — it’s a vision for the future, where tradition meets innovation, and where every person who visits leaves with a greater appreciation for the earth and its abundance.
